Building Your Circle
Building Your Circle - steps to help you build your own support
Ultimately, Your Circle isn't just about people who receive social care. It applies to everyone, helping you to live an independent life for as long as possible.
Your Circle may well include formal support from statutory sources, but people may also want to take advantage of local services and activities as well as the support offered through voluntary and community groups, neighbours, carers, friends and family.
Step 1: Review
Consider who or what is already in Your Circle.
Do you have a trusted contact – a familiar face, family member, friend or neighbour who understands you and your needs? Are you a member of a group? Does someone help you care for your pet? Does anyone offer you support around the house or garden?
Step 2: Build
Add extra elements of support. Take advantage of all the support and services available in Gloucestershire.
Use this website to enhance Your Circle, ultimately helping you get more out of life. Consider local clubs, financial advice, volunteer opportunities, support groups, help in your home – literally hundreds of activities and services are listed in the menu to the left.
Step 3: Need extra support?
If you, or someone you know needs additional support through adult social care, then the Adult Social Care pages on the left hand menu will help you find information and advice about more formal forms of support available.
