Carers Information - update from Gloucestershire County Council
(Published on 28/03/2019)
The provider of Gloucestershire County Council contracted services for Adult Carers will change from 1st April 2019 from Carers Gloucestershire and Guidepost Trust to PeoplePlus. The service will be called ‘The Gloucestershire Carers Hub’.
From 1st April 2019, referrals can be made to The Gloucestershire Carers Hub via their website www.gloucestershirecarershub.co.uk (at the moment this is just a landing page with full website due 1st April) or by telephone 0300 111 9000. An email for general enquiries is firstname.lastname@example.org.
The council have been working with Carers Gloucestershire, Guideposts and PeoplePlus to ensure the transition of services is as smooth as possible.
The main points to note are:
Carers have been sent letters from Carers Gloucestershire and Guideposts informing of the change in service provider and transition of services
The main telephone number 0300 111 9000 is being transferred from Carers Gloucestershire to The Gloucestershire Carers Hub
The emergency number for the Carers Emergency Scheme will stay the same, so the number on Carer’s emergency cards is still the number to call in an emergency
The current providers of Carers Breaks will continue to provide those breaks after 1st April
They new contract will be providing:
- Information, advice and guidance
- Carers assessment and support planning
