Oakley Adult Opportunity Centre

Description

At our Oakley Adult Opportunity Centre (AOC) we provide day care for adults with learning disabilities. It is run as a needs led service, with activities being planned using information gathered through Person Centred Plans. Examples of current activities are:

  • swimming;
  • horse riding;
  • art;
  • relaxation;
  • cookery;
  • basic F.E;
  • use of public transport and community facilities.

Activities are reviewed and changed according to the needs of users. Users also have access to specialist services where appropriate, i.e. speech therapy, physiotherapy etc.
